Hummingbirds: Understanding ruby-throated hummingbirds in your yard, Sat. July 21 at The Crosby Arboretum.

If you love watching hummingbirds or are interested in attracting them to your garden, then you will want to be at The Crosby Arboretum on Saturday July 21 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Come out to hear Mr. James Bell, Hummingbird Bander, of the Hummer / Bird Study Group Inc. Mr. Bell will present a fun and informative talk with ideas on how to fill your yard with hummingbirds. He will explain what is going on in the hummingbirds life, how they feed, why they fight so much, how to overcome that one bad bird that thinks he owns the feeder, simple tips and tricks that will insure you see more hummingbirds, and enjoy the beauty of one of nature’s most dazzling creations. This program will be indoors, is for adults, and is FREE to Arboretum Members; $5 for non-members. Register by July 20.

For more information, please call the Arboretum office at (601) 799-2311. The Crosby Arboretum is located in Picayune, Mississippi, on Ridge Road, between Wal-Mart and Interstate 59, at Exit 4. Follow signs to the Arboretum.
